Today both girls went to see Dr. Leffel. Kayden for her 5 year old check-up and Karsyn for her 2 month check-up…As soon as Dr. Leffel entered the room Kayden asked her if she was going to give her any shots today and Dr. Leffel had good news for her because the answer was no, but that she had to be strong for her little sister, because Karsyn was getting 2 shots :( Dr. Leffel hasn’t seen Kayden since her 4 year old check, I hope Karsyn is as healthy as Kayden has been because we have been truly blessed with Kayden awesome health…Dr. Leffel listened to Kayden’s heart, took her blood pressure and then asked her a ton of questions like…
~can you dress yourself…yes
~can you brush your own teeth…when Mommy lets me
~do you know some basic site words…yes
~can you ride a bike…yes
~are you a good big sister…yes, I do things think get diapers and wipes…
~don’t even have to ask…yes you can carry on a conversation…
can you write your name…yes, but sometimes I write the S backwards…
~can you tie your shoes…not yet but Mommy bought me a book and we are going to work on this summer…
~do you like to go outside…yes when Daddy works in the yard…
~are you ready for Kindergarten…yes, and I’m going to Mommy’s school…
Overall Kayden had a great check-up and we hope that we don’t have to see Dr. Leffel again until she is six…
