Mommy and Daddy can’t believe that today you are 5 years old…I can remember getting up this very morning 5 years ago, my water breaking, and being SO excited that you were coming today. After Mommy and Daddy got ready we drove to the hospital, and got there around 7:30a.m. and by 2:33 p.m. our precious baby girl was born. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was holding you in my arms for the very first time. (My eyes are filling up with tears as I’m thinking about this moment while I type)…Mommy had a very easy delivery as well as recovery. You weighted 6 pounds 7 ounces and were 19 inches long. From that moment on Mommy and Daddy’s life as we knew it was changed forever. We couldn’t get over how much you filled our hearts with love. Mommy and Daddy would stand over your bed at night and watch you sleep and think how amazing you were and that we were the luckiest people in the world, because God had blessed us with you. As you turn 5 today and as sad as it makes us to see you grow up, it also brings us joy that you’re turning into a wonderful, intelligent, sweet, loving, nurturing little girl. As I look at you today, I don’t see my little baby, your face is changing and you’re beginning to look all grown up, all your baby features are changing. It’s hard to believe that you will be starting Kindergarten this fall, it’s been such a joy watching you change and grow through these first stages of life and Mommy and Daddy look forward to all the stages of life that are to come…We love you Kayden Avery and these last 5 years have been such an incredible adventure. We are so proud of you…
