This morning Mommy, MawMaw and Kayden went to a Siblings Class or in Kayden words “Big Sister School” at the Baylor Hospital in Grapevine where Kayden was born as well as where Karsyn will soon be born…
It was optional to bring your own baby from home so this morning we had to dress one of her babies in cute clothes and of course Kayden wanted them to have matching hats…So Kayden’s baby borrowed one of Karsyn’s hats for the day…
~I was very impressed with the class and Nurse Sara did an awesome job…
Kayden did a wonderful job of listening and raising her hand to speak, she made Mommy and MawMaw very proud…
Learning the proper way to hold a baby…
Such a sweet big sister…Kayden is no amature when it comes to holding babies she has been carrying them around since her first birthday…
Next it was time to learn how to feed the baby a bottle…
So sweet…Kayden took the class very serious and she was so attentive and did just what she was asked to do and really watched Nurse Sara, so that she would do it correctly…She’s taking the job of being a big sister very serious…Also Kayden really wanted to use her baby instead of the babies Nurse Sara had and I don’t blame her because her baby was much cuter…
At one point during the feeding of their babies the girls thought they should cheers their bottles, it was very cute…
Don’t forget to burp your baby…
After the babies were done eating, we took a little break ourselves and had a quick snack…
After our snack it was time to learn how to swaddle our baby so that they could go down for a nap…
Awesome job little girl, now time to put our babies done for a nap…When Kayden was a baby she LOVED to be swaddled and Daddy was so good at getting her tight and snug…
After we put the babies down to take a nap, Nurse Sara took us on a tour of the hospital. Kayden got to see where Mommy will go when Karsyn is born and where Mommy will go after Karsyn is born. We also got to see a real baby in the nursery and Kayden thought that was so neat. While Mommy was on the tour it really started to sink in that I’m about to have another baby, plus it brought back wonderful memories of when Kayden was born, it was such an awesome experience and I can’t wait to do it all over again…
Now that we are done with our tour of the hospital our babies are awake and it’s now time to change their diapers…First you have to take off the wet one so that you can put on a dry on. Kayden notified Mommy and MawMaw that her baby didn’t make poo poo, just tee tee because she was only going to change tee tee diapers on Karsyn…
Good job…Kayden is going to be such a good diaper helper…
To end the class Kayden got to stuff a poodle that she picked out at the beginning of class…Nurse Sara gave each child a special star and she asked them to make a wish and to then put the star inside their animal and seal it up so that their wish can come true…Kayden told Mommy that she can’t tell anyone her wish, because if she does it won’t come true and she also can’t open up her puddle because if the star falls out her wish won’t come true either…
She even got a cute little Baylor shirt to wear home…Now time to give her a name…
Meet Zoe…
At the end of the class Nurse Sara gave Kayden a great job certificate…
Here is Kayden with her certificate as well as wearing the cute shirt that MawMaw bought her from the gift shop in the hospital…
Kayden also got this cute story coloring book…
Kayden and Zoe…
What a wonderful special day and we were so glad that MawMaw was here to share it with us, now time to get ready because in a couple of hours Mommy is having a shower for Baby Karsyn right here at home…
