8 Weeks Pregnant…

IMG_0887

On July 24, 2009 I was 8 weeks pregnant and went to my first appointment to see Dr. Cope…

Mommy, Daddy and Kayden got to see Baby Simpson for the first time as well as see his/her heartbeat…It was truly amazing.  After you find out you’re pregnant it’s an exciting time as well as a scary time because you want to make sure everything is okay and when we went to the Dr. everything looked great and we were very happy and relieved to hear that…

Such a proud and loving big sister…Kayden was so good when we went to see Dr. Cope.  I know that she doesn’t understand everything that is going on and is still too little to ask a bunch of questions but it was so sweet because the whole time we were seeing Dr. Cope Kayden just wanted to make sure she wasn’t hurting Mommy, she was so concerned for me and even told me “Would you like for me to hold you hand Mommy, to make you feel better”  she’s such a sweetheart…

This pregnancy is a little the same as when I was pregnant with Kayden in the fact that I have evening sickness, not morning sickness but evening sickness…around 3:00 every evening I begin feeling very nauseated.  I have been trying to eat as much as I can but nothing sounds good or even taste good.  Also my prenatal vitamins make me very sick and just the thought of them make me want to gag but I take them and try to keep them down right before I go to bed.   Peppermints and gum are my best friends right now… I also have been extremely tired and the “second time around” is much harder then the first being I have another child that I must take care of.  I’m so glad that Kayden is 4 years old and is able to entertain herself as well as do some things for herself on her own, which has really helped me out when I’m having a bad day or evening.  Kevin is awesome and does a TON ! I’m also grateful that during my first 12 weeks I will be off for the summer and when I have to go back to school I will be entering my 2nd trimester and hopefully feeling much better…Not feeling well and being tired all the time is really hard but I know that it’s all well worth it…

Here’s a funny baby story by Kayden…

~One day Kayden saw my pregnancy test on the counter and she asked me what it was and I said “that’s what Mommy used to see if she had a baby in her belly” and then Kayden said “YIKES you stuck that in your throat, YUCK then I don’t want to have babies”…
