Today Karsyn is 4 Months Old…

A year ago today Mommy took a test that would change our lives forever.  The test I took told me that our family of 3 was going to be a family of four.  All 3 of us were extremely excited and could hardly wait to begin the journey of adding another member to our already wonderful family, and on this day exactly a year later we are celebrating our precious little Karsyn’s turning 4 months old, pretty special, huh…  She is growing and changing right before our very eyes, and here are just a few of the ways…

Stats…

weight:  14 pounds 9 ounces (50-75%)

height:  25 inches (75-90%)

Skills…

~rolling over from back to tummy and then from tummy to back.  You are still a tummy sleeper so this skill has really helped with your sleeping at night because if you roll over onto your back you can get back to your tummy to sleep and mommy doesn’t have to get up to help you, YEA more sleep for mommy…

~you have great head control and when I walk around with you on my hip I realize that your aren’t a newborn anymore…

~you have wonderful hand control, you’re constantly putting things in your mouth and trying really hard on picking up things and then in the mouth they go…

~you’re a little piggy and love eating…this month you had oatmeal for the first time and LOVED it…you still love your bottles and eat 6 ounces about 5 times a day…

~you love your bath and sometimes cry when mommy and daddy have to get out…

~you love to smile and it doesn’t take much to light up your face…

~you have laughed out loud like a big girl a couple of times…thanks to your big sister and you also love when Kayden entertains you and when she walks away you shed tears like she has broken your heart…

~you love being outside…

~you are very spoiled and love to be held and if mommy or daddy put you down you can let it be known that you aren’t happy…

~this month you are sleeping all by yourself in your big girl bed and love it, to help you sleep better we play white music for you and that also allows your big sister not to have to tip toe around the house…

Struggles…

~the wiggles…girlfriend is wiggly, wiggly, wiggly and that is making diaper changes, getting dressed much more interested…

~making you more independent where you can sit and entertain yourself a little more so that you don’t cry anytime one of us walks out of the room…

~when you are sleepy you would love to suck on something and we have tried every pacifier known to man and you won’t take any of them…Mommy made you a tag blanket that helps sometimes but we hope that you either find your thumb soon or something else that will help the process of you falling asleep a little more pleasant around our house…

Honestly this stage is so much fun and we feel like Karsyn is doing so well mommy and daddy truly can’t complain.  We have our moments of frustration, but we’re so very thankful for our healthy, happy baby girl !
