Darryl (or just "D" to Kayden) is just like family to us. "D" grew up in Schulenburg and was in my sister Dana's class and when he moved here years ago we have been hanging out ever since. Almost every weekend he comes over and spends time with us and Kayden absolutely loves when he comes over. He is GREAT with her. Last night when "D" came over to eat taco soup and watch football he was wearing his cap backwards and Kayden went to her room, got one of her hats and put it on backwards just like "D" because she adores him. Here's some dinner table conversation from last night...
Kayden: Is "D" your brother, daddy ?
Daddy: Well...yes I think of him as my brother ?
K: Then "D" is my brother too ?
D: "D" could be like your uncle.
K: Okay, then "D" is my brother uncle.
