Kayden talks non stop from the time her toes reach the floor in the morning until they slide under the covers at night. My 2 favorite times of the day are when we are driving to school in the morning and when we are reading books in bed at night. Kayden is such a morning person and our drive to school is always quit entertaining. Kayden's new favorite things while being in a car are school buses and stop signs, she counts them all and is SO excited when she sees them..."Look mommy a yellow school bus and another one that is two yellow school buses, mommy !"..."Look Mommy a stop sign, stop signs and fire trucks are red and rojo is Spanish for red !" I'm telling you this kid talks nonstop, wonder where she gets that from, he he he... Rojo, What ?...yes that is now part of her vocabulary, thanks to Dora...The first time she said it Kevin and I almost fell over...one Saturday we were getting ready to go to Target and Kevin had his coffee mug on the table and Kayden said "Look, Daddy his cup rojo"... Also, when we ride in the car we listen to the Leap Frog songs about colors and she sings along with them word for word, we also listen to this ABC song that makes all the sounds and she remembers the sounds that the letters make. I have always known that kids are like sponges but seeing it in your child is truly amazing. My dad is like a walking encyclopedia and in my eyes one of the most intelligent men I know, my nephew Jonathan and my niece Jillian have always amazed me from the time they were little and still seem to amaze me with how knowledgeable and bright they both are and now seeing that in Kayden is so exciting. Her vocabulary is remarkable and what she remembers from the books we read is incredible. I need to write more stuff down b/c it's hard to remember every thing she comes up with, makes a connection to or problem solves...
Now onto something extra sweet...
I tell Kayden to many times to count that I love her in a day and it is always the sweetest thing ever when she tells me back, but the other day it became sweeter...
Mommy: "I love you, Kayden"
Kayden: "I love you, too Mommy"
Mommy: "I love you the most"
Kayden: "I love you the big most, mommy"
WOW, what do you say after that...nothing you heart says it all...
