Lets Talk About Kayden...

Wow, can't believe that summer is almost over and how much Kayden has grown in just 3 months. She is such a big girl...even though when I tell her that she says: "Mommy, I little girl and you a big girl"

Here is what my big girl is up to...

  • That big goofy smile above... this is what I get when I say..."Smile Kayden"...
  • She is doing GREAT in her big girl bed at night as well as during naps. We get into bed with her read some books give hugs and kisses, turn out the lights, close the door and she goes right to sleep.
  • We are still working on potty training and wearing our big girl panties. She has tee-teeing down but poo-pooing we are still struggling with. Potty training is a long process and Kayden, mommy and daddy are all learning together.
  • She is still a good eater and will try everything but if she doesn't like something she makes this silly face and says "yuck...I not like that" She loves ranch and will dip anything in it. Her favorite foods are mac and cheese, carrots, tomatoes, cheerios with fresh strawberries and fruit snacks...
  • She has become more and more independent and likes to help dress herself, especially putting her shoes on, buckling her seat belt or anything with a buckle...
  • She has also become more creative with her imagination like when she talks on her phone she carries a conversation on with herself, she also loves to play tea party and cook in her kitchen and pretends things are hot and blows on stuff. Whenever she is playing by herself there is always dialog going on...
  • Playing dress-up is HUGE right now and still loves going outside...
  • Kayden talks in long complete sentences and talks all day long. Here are some cute things she likes to say: "oh man", "yes, sure" "I'm coming" " I know I am fast" "So purty" "Mommy/Daddy what you doing", "Where did my daddy go?", "Hey guys, this is the best", "I can't do it" "Mommy/Daddy watch me", "Is it my turn ?" Also when she gets in trouble we say "Kayden Avery" and she says "Simpson" When she is sitting in time out she likes to say "I all done mommy" to bad mommy decides that :)
  • She can count to 20 and put her entire ABC puzzle in order with little or no help. She can also sing her ABC's along with you. She knows the colors, orange, red, and green and can identify as well as create a circle...
  • Kayden does like to voice her opinion and when she is asked to do something she likes to answer "no" so now mommy/daddy don't ask her a question instead we give her 2 choices and that seems to help b/c she can't answer "no" she picks one.
  • She runs and jumps everywhere and over everything.

We have had such a GREAT summer and we are ready for some cooler weather and some Aggie football...
