Taking a Little Time to Journal...

After childbirth where does your memory go, if anyone knows let me know because I would like mine back. I am now the list queen, I must make a list or write everything down in order to remember. I hate that because I was fairly good at remembering things. Kayden is 16 months old and she is doing stuff like crazy so I thought I would take some time to journal so that one day her and I have something to look back at, being that I have memory loss.

~She is a talking machine and is picking up new words everyday and is also good at repeating you, so Kevin and I now have to be extra careful that we talk "G" rated. Here is an updated listed of all the words she is saying:

off, shoes, up, out, eye, nose, milk , pillow, more(also signs), ball,

dog, quack, moo, bath, yes, no, cheese, shh, that, fly, go,

ah oh, who, hot, cold, night night, nanna, eat, baby, hi, book, cracker

please(also signs), hello, hi, thank you(also signs), fish, bye-bye, yogert, bite

~We have been teaching Kayden some words in sign language mostly just words that help her communicate or use her manners. It has been working well and she knows a few but she is talking so well that she can pretty much communicate her needs and wants to us so we may not have to teach her as many as we once wanted. We are working on Gig'em Aggies, so she will be ready for football season. From time to time Kayden will also say more than one word and has put words together to form a short sentence: I want that, don't touch that, no no momma/dadda, go bye-bye

~Kayden also has a book that has pictures of family in it and when you ask her who is that... she can say their names: Momma, Dadda, MawMaw, PawPaw, Mimi, Jon Jon, Jill, Coco and she can also say Lily (her baby)

~She also points to the following body parts: head, eye, nose, mouth, teeth, ear, tummy, belly button, toes, and doopa (butt in Polish, a must to learn in my family)

~She is still a dancing queen and has added a lot of new moves. The cutest thing is when we are riding in the car and we listen to her music. Her favorite song is "The Wheels on the Bus" and when it comes on she moves like crazy around in her seat. It is so funny to watch from the little mirror I have hanging in my car. She loves that song and loves to do the hand movements and her favorite is when the mommy's go "shh, shh, shh" Her 2nd favorite is the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and she loves to do the hand movements with this song as well. I probably look like a fool driving down the road singing these songs and doing the motions with her but who cares I am a teacher I have done goofier things than that.

~Our child has also become more obsessed with shoes, we go places and that is all she does is point/say "shoes". If you come over she will take your shoes and try them on and model them for you. She gets a lot of practice b/c mommy has a ton of shoes and she has pretty much modeled all of mine (proof is coming soon in a future post) She may not look like me but she sure does have a love for shoes like me.

~Still a little book worm and our favorite part of the day is reading to her before she goes to bed each and every night.

That is all that I can retrieve from my memory for now. Our little girl amazes us each and everyday and we are so very blessed to have her in our lives.
